ARTWORK DETAILS

In Hold the Grip, the female figure appears suspended in a liquid, ambiguous space. Her body is defined by fluid, almost metallic textures that evoke transformation, distortion, and a struggle to remain whole. The absence of facial features, replaced by abstract swirls, creates a sense of detachment and mystery. This work explores the tension between control and dissolution. The gesture of her hands, firm yet reserved suggests an inner effort to maintain stability amid change.

The water like background reinforces the theme of instability, while the anatomical precision of her body brings back the viewer’s attention to the human, the tangible. It is a striking image of containment, distortion, and vulnerability an emotional snapshot captured in motion.
