Anything goes to get noticed.
Creating something ugly requires the same energy as creating something beautiful, but lately "ugly" is in the spotlight.
We could say that the uglier it is, the greater the chance of success.
JR, a new artist who came out of nowhere, confirms this rule with a new black and white printed cave installation on one of the most beautiful bridges in Paris and undoubtedly the oldest.
Is it really reasonable to offer such a setting to tourists who revel in visiting what was once the most beautiful city in the world but which is becoming disfigured day by day?
What do you think?

JR identifies himself as Jewish. While his artistic and cultural projects largely transcend religious labels, his heritage has influenced some of his socio-political work. For example, he has actively collaborated with individuals from across the religious and cultural divide in the Middle East—such as his Face 2 Face project—and has participated in social movements in Israel.
