Mystique of the White Helmet

An immaculate white helmet crowns the female figure with an authority that is not military but mystical: where a historical ornament might be expected, Legac introduces a contemporary protective object. The woman is not in contradiction with what she wears — she inhabits it with sovereignty. Dark ground, flesh with golden tones, architectural white, traces of gold leaf: a prestige portrait anchored in the present. Oil on canvas, 150 × 150 cm, 2024.
