Eyes half-closed, lips parted, a red mark on the cheekbone. A black tulle veil grids the skin. The lace of the costume unravels like ice. Legac observes here the exact moment of surrender — not the fall, but the instant before impact, when holding on is no longer necessary and one begins to fall gently.
