The figure is whole, sovereign — yet the composition divides her, situating her at the intersection of light and darkness. Legac explores here what division does to grace: not destroy it, but strengthen it, give it depth and tension. Pearlescent flesh on one side, deep browns and warm blacks on the other, gold leaf at the junction of the two regimes: grace as a state sustained only in tension. Oil on canvas, 150 × 150 cm, 2024.
