Healing Waters

A female figure receives — rather than endures — the aquatic atmosphere that envelops her. Translucent blues, jade greens, white lights at the surface: paint moves as water moves, retaining the memory of fluidity even in the fixity of dried pigment. Legac paints here not healing itself but the state that precedes it: the release, the receptivity, the permission granted to something else to act. Oil on canvas, 150 × 150 cm, 2024.
