A body in trance or freefall against a ground of absolute night, traversed by orange and blue flashes like inner fires. Isaan Trip invokes the Thai northeastern region — its possession rites, its migrations, its upheavals — as a physical state, an experience of the body transformed by travel. Oil on canvas, 150 × 150 cm, 2005.
