Shattered Serenity

The figure’s serenity is accomplished — and something in it is broken, or threatens to break, along an invisible line. The composition proceeds by silent tension: subtle distribution of light and shadow, slight asymmetry, light broken into dispersed shards. Legac acknowledges here that inner peace is always fragile, and that its value lies precisely in that fragility. Oil on canvas, 150 × 150 cm, 2024.
